The only reason it wasn't showing up for me at first was because I had No Script on. Which for some reason fukks up links. Once I cleared that out the links showed up. Never signed up for anything.

That's different. Patreon is basically a secondary marketplace that's not a part of a content creators main platform. It gives you room to add the things that you couldn't package into your normal subscription model.
