Finally got to play this. The gameplay is rock solid. Every character has a different playstyle. The roguelike elements to me are a positive it mixes up what would be a samey experience.
With that said online co-op in 2023 is a requirement. It should the first free DLC/Patch they handle

Idk double dragon 2 is untouchable to me.
This game is very very good tho. A lot of replay value.

Double Dragon 2 on the Arcade or the NES?
I beat this about 4 times this past weekend. Low key it may be better than SOR4 and revenge of shredder.
Agreed. I really enjoyed this game and basically unlocked everything.
its fun with replayability, but its not as fluid or aesthically sound as SOR4. That game still the GOAT. 
I concur with this sentiment, but after watching this review that goes into the behind the scenes tribulations they went through, I'd honestly be surprised if they even managed to add online co-op post launch.

Copped on sale even though I wasn’t feeling the chibi art, it’s straight
But after buying Super Double Dragon a few weeks ago this one definitely ain’t better than that, I don’t like the pausing after certain moves and the dash takes a lil bit getting used to.
Definitely a 3.5/5 I like it and there definitely enough to keep me coming back, compared to SOR 4, TMNT, Fighting Rage and River City Girls, it’s not as good as those but I still recommend it
Now I need to cop that new River City Ransom remake
