Don’t you feel old when you realize the NWO last run was almost 20 years ago?

the fact that Rock & Hogan became buddy buddy on TV after this is :dead:

What made it even worse was that it was totally unnecessary  they overthought this. Tried everything in their power to make sure Hogan got boo’d at Mania. Nobody remembered or cared about this stunt once the PPV came. And it’s never really been highlighted or shown in a historical context over the years. They knew they fukked up.

Man that whole time period is sort of a sleeper. The first and second half of 2002 are like two completely different eras. Even with all the ridiculous stuff they did (Triple H’s dog getting run over, hitting the rock with a semi truck), the atmosphere and build up of WM 18 was crazy.

Big Evil might be my favorite incarnation of Undertaker. He gave shine to young talent and was the most entertaining he’s ever been. Loved Hoegan during this time especially when he started using Voodoo Child again. I didn’t mind babyface Triple H. Austin’s star was fading but he was still cutting hilarious promos. Flair as half owner started as a great storyline until it didn’t really go anywhere.

but yeah the merch was cool but the only 3 memorable moments from that run are the initial return, rock/hogan, and HBK return :yeshrug:
Yea 02 in general was a mix bag
It was decent tho until :hhh:reign of terror
