Don’t you feel old when you realize the NWO last run was almost 20 years ago?

Man that whole time period is sort of a sleeper. The first and second half of 2002 are like two completely different eras. Even with all the ridiculous stuff they did (Triple H’s dog getting run over, hitting the rock with a semi truck), the atmosphere and build up of WM 18 was crazy.

Big Evil might be my favorite incarnation of Undertaker. He gave shine to young talent and was the most entertaining he’s ever been. Loved Hoegan during this time especially when he started using Voodoo Child again. I didn’t mind babyface Triple H. Austin’s star was fading but he was still cutting hilarious promos. Flair as half owner started as a great storyline until it didn’t really go anywhere.

but yeah the merch was cool but the only 3 memorable moments from that run are the initial return, rock/hogan, and HBK return :yeshrug:

I LIVE IN A CARDBOARD BOX!
I remember telling people in the AOL Chat that I didn't think this would work, but a lot of people were assuring me that this was going to be a return to the Attitude era and eventually we would get a real Invasion angle (:russ:). Then Hogan left, Hall got fired, X-Pac joined the crew, as did a bunch of other unnecessary members, and the nWo angle was over by June when Nash tore his quad after returning from a broken leg (which people tend to forget also happened.)

Wild that they had a Stone Cold and Rock vs NWO storyline and it didnt cause a ratings spike. All about timing momentum and not cooling people off.
