Word. I didn't know having a white wife meant that you no longer get racially profiled, pulled over by cops for no reason, are no longer under the threat of being accosted in most non-Western countries, and no longer face glass ceilings and other societal barriers.
I didn't know that marrying a white woman erased all struggle one has ever gone through and will ever go through.
I didn't know that having a white wife was the racism get out of jail free card that granted racism's equivalent to diplomatic immunity.
According to a certain segment of black folks, though, that apparently is the truth and thus marrying a white person makes a black person unable to identify with anything black including the systemic and sometimes overt racism that all blacks in racially heterogenous societies face.
The argument that a black person can't speak on black issues because they've married a white person is frankly very stupid.
