This is clearly about a pilot for a series that will get picked up by a TV network for a season or 2.
It's actually an anime based on the hit slice of life manga.

Hopefully the film focuses on the peer pressures of fashion as a focal point. Why is a big ol winter bear from Burlington lame af and got a young brotha willing to freeze his balls off in a hoodie and jacket but if that same kid had bought a coat from moncler , Canada goose, Louis etc. he would proudly rock. No telling how deep a director and screenwriter can go with this theme. I would love to see Scorsese pull one more trick up his sleeve. Can you imagine his gritty and grimy street cinematography to go along with a script like that

How they anthropomorphized the coats, stuck there, hanging in the back of the closet, feeling lost and useless from their lack of wear, it was powerful. To dedicate their lives to the cause of to protect and to warm only to be usurped by hoodies.

if you going to the corner store and can tough it out then a hoodie, jeans and sneakers fine... but if you gonna be outside all day a jacket is a must...
