Y’all really have no idea how he had the streets Florida in a frenzy when he first came out. And y’all ain’t even post the shyt that the streets was fukking with before he blew nationally like that. You had to be outside for real. Like nikkas didn’t even post Dopeboy lol. shyt was a hit on the streets. Breh really took over the streets and out of nowhere too.



nikkas didn’t even post Take Off. Everyone posting the later shyt when he blew up nationally. By that time the streets was not really fukking with him like that for real. I mean they was but not like in the beginning. He damn near had mythical status for like a whole year, especially that first summer. Then people start finding holes in his resume around the time he started blowing up nationwide.

Everybody knows I was the resident Plies stan,and I was trying to put sohh on before he went national. They didnt start paying attention until 100 years dropped though. Still thought he was garbage. But gave him his due afrer Real Testament.


But you read my mind. Alot of these songs is when original plies stans started to defect. Aint have anything to do with Jamie Foxx. But he promised the streets hed never go commercialized. But he definitely sold out his whole style,and started putting out soft shyt after he got success. Im sure Atlantic probably told him to. Because they made all they artist follow that formula. But these were the songs that had us projecting him to be a goat

And I think I was actually in St Louis at the time and the streets put me on. So I think his reach was definitely outside of Florida. Although it was more of a word of mouth thing. But some family back in the bay knew about Plies too without me telling them. So I think it was a small little cult following nationally possibly.
