I get what you are saying.. but Busta isnt in Jay position. Or even Nas..

But at the end of the day, Busta hasnt resorted to giving away free music via mixtape like some of these new ho ass rappers either. So I dont get the over saturating comment.

At the end of the day, Busta had some huge huge records. Multi plat artist. He did it his way. He came out one way and has stayed that one way without conforming to using trap beats and shyt. He chooses his moves.

And Im not a Busta fan by any means. Never bought an album. I do love a lot of his songs. Im just in favor of giving props where props are due.

Busta loves the art of it all. So do I.

Thats all I care about. I'd never shyt on him. And he is a legend despite what these other nyggas saying.

Im not slighting Busta's accolades in any way. Dude is a legend to me as well. But there's something to be said when this nikka is signing to YMCMB, like just look at the calibre of contemporaries he's surrounding himself w/ Drake (and I fukks w/ Drake), Nikki Minaj, Tyga, Bow Wow...like :what:, why even do that to yourself man yea they on top of the game and they winning but nikka YOU DONT FIT INTO THAT MOVEMENT.

I think you sign with people who gonna get you looks and more importantly a set up and release date... I havent seen Busta really do too much since he signed. So I cant really weigh in on that. but yeah, I see what you are saying

I don't get the Busta hate...can someone break it down?

These nikkas on The Coli hate on anything and everything in between! It's one thing if you dislike Busta Rhymes as a rapper, but I haven't heard or seen any stories on him being a bad father so how he raises his kids shouldn't be a issue! :smh:

Busta is everywhere and anywhere and as I remember he put his kid in his videos.

Regarding Busta as a legend, I do think he gets overlooked on a bigger scale (throw Red and Meth, E-40 and other "fun" MCs) even though he might actually have a decent catalogue of memorable songs.
I guess cause he aint serious all the time (or during the glory years anyway) thus not having an album that impacted the culture like that and never had a serious beef he gets left out the discussion but he should be mentioned.

On a spin off side note:
No one gonna say anything about Elliot Wilson still rubbing elbows with rappers anywhere and everywhere? lol

The only classic stuff he made was during his 'fun' phase

Well that's what I'm saying though, he does have classical material.

But I think the only reason he doesnt get mentioned in the top 10 is because he didnt beef with anyone or that there wasnt that one album that was considered a game changer. Which is always a tough thing to grade a rapper on. I do think he should be top 15

True but tbh if we're keeping it all the way 100 his all time ranking should be top 30-40 at best

He did have a huge impact on hip hop music video wise lets not forget
