I never heard of this specific scam but damn thats creative. how people would fall for this is beyond me

It's actually pretty smart. What will happen someone will take it a cheque place and get actual money THEN you have to use the real money to pay for your equipment by sending them it so in the end, you're fukked and the place where you cashed is fukked.

I received a cheque like that for $3200 and was very skeptical so I searched online for the company (didn't see anything except for a number and a search result), left a message on the vm of the "company" and waited. APPARENTLY, it was a totally different company and these scammers have been using their business as a legit business address. They were telling me how they got calls from all over Canada and the US, they were based out of Buffalo.

What a shame.

I actually knew because my white neighbor got hit with this a couple years....he made a craigslist add to sell his drumset...so they sent him a check for $1500...he was only asking $800 for the set. They then contacted him via email and said they oversent him funds and can he moneygram them $700. This fool actually monegrammed them the money....The whole scam is targeted for the desperate individual that dont have the patience to wait for a check to clear....

I'll still say it's dumb because anyhow I get a check from some random place saying deposit this and buy software for a JOB? lol I'm looking at the check sideways.. at the same time it's inevitably smart because I obviously underestimated the stupidity of the common human being... shyt is mind blowing how someone would believe this

The Deep State
and she almost fell for it...:wow:

so she calls me and says she got a check for $2400 via fedex...saying to "buy" software for a fake job that she thinks she got from a bogus interview...:snoop:

I tell her to trash the check.....little did I know she had already deposited it before she even called me!...:wow:

anyway I tell her you will get another email saying to withdraw a substantial amount of the $2400 and to moneygram the $$ to them...

....she almost became a victim....

OP. Don't take this the wrong way...but i gotta question your girl's intelligence...and subsequently...YOURS... :usure:
