Donnie Yen to return for a 4th ‘Ip Man’ film?

i feel like they're kind of ruining ip man's real legacy with all these films. like, the first two were okay, partly educational. haven't seen the third after i saw tyson was in it, now there's a 4th one coming out? there are other kung fu heroes to research and portray on film. hopefully accurately too

but the first two at least attempt to tie in true stories, like the gun incident in the restaurant (that actually happened, not in the same way but him dismantling the gun after being threatened by someone else), philosophical ideas ip man felt, etc. it makes me wonder if his son ip chun is involved in these movies like he was before. if he isn't, i wouldn't want to see them anyway because more than likely they'll have a hollywood spin on them. it's such a waste to make these movies just for the action, it undermines the art...

Also as expected with the chinese film heads, another ip man (unofficial) spin off sequel ..from ip man 3.

I'm more interested in this than Ip Man 4 tbh. Max is a really good actor and kills his fight scenes
