They keep saying he can pinch hit if need be.
the reason why they haven’t pulled him is because in the event of them advancing to the WS, he’d be ineligible to play.
That makes sense, but 2 things
1. you’re roster is currently fighting better competition than the World Series opponent and fighting left handed while doing it (down a roster spot)
2. does Boone really think Stanton is the X factor in winning a World Series? I’m pretty sure they could get a bunch of September call ups to beat the National league team
