it's because we have too many all or nothing hitters. EE trade was celebrated in the regular season but he's a guy that is also pretty much all or nothing. We gotta get more contact hitters like DJ and surround Judge and Torres with guys who can get on base not just hit homers.

His OBP was pretty solid. The problem is that he’s suddenly lost all plate discipline and much like Gary, feels a need to swing at every pitch and can’t seem to tell where any pitch is going.

Either guys can hit with runners in scoring position or they can't. It's not really something that you can address. You would have to have hitters change their approach. Sometimes the whole lineup sucks at driving runs in. The Braves were one of the best teams in baseball hitting with runners in scoring position and were trash against the Cardinals. It happens.
