Trump can't use the Army or National Guard for permanent law enforcement due to the Posse Comitatus Act (ironically passed to prevent National military protecting Blacks in post-Reconstruction USA but still a good idea for civil liberties). He can have them there as temporary state of emergency but not as a permanent force.
As far as FBI, well if he is going to send them after the gangs on some RICO stuff then fine, but part of the problem with the violence is Emmanuel targeted the gang leaders and once they were gone the gangs splintered into warring factions.
Chicago can have peace in one of two ways: either eliminate the gang problem or have one (or two gangs) dominate and eliminate/absorb the rest.

You incorrectly claimed that white and rich people would be greatly affected by it (through death and "night life" business failure) and we told you that it won't because white and rich people are not in those violent areas. Again, there is not much "night life" in the violent areas, nor rich nor white people. All of that stuff is down town or in the suburbs where the gangs/violence is not.
You just can't admit that you're wrong and it makes you look even more stupid.
A better bet would be to see if large numbers of white owned "night life" related business in those areas fail and if large numbers of white people will be killed in those violent areas bc of martial law if it even happens.
Now we both know you'd take that bet because you don't believe that trump would ever use mlaw here.

Ok, I don't live in Chicago but the murders and death toll still shock me. Despite that, we have to remember homicides peaked in 1990s near 1,000 and federal troops etc. weren't required then. Until this recent surge Chicago had the lowest murder rate since 1965 in 2014 or 2015 so there is something very recent and localized causing this.

Nothing can compare, but the point is he's not gonna just stop there. If I really thought he was just gonna "clean up" Chicago then that's the end, then I'd be like cool, but that's not what will happen. It won't just be areas with high murder/crime rates, it will be hoods in general they'll be "policing", and next black neighborhoods in general. The whole point is to be able to go after black ppl more freely and aggressively
