They really could have had both Lowry and Hield for Wesbrook's price (except with Caruso staying instead of THT). Trading for Schroeder, guaranteeing Drummond a starting position, trading for Westbrook, letting Caruso walk, signing a bunch of players that are allergic to playing defense.. Crazy how many poor decisions this team has made since winning the championship.

It baffles me that Pelinka, Bron, and AD still don't realize that the path to winning is Bron at PF, AD at Center, and players that can shoot and defend. That's all they needed.

The only explanation is that friendship clouded the basketball decision.

Make no mistake every move was made because they were shook of the Nets once getting Harden. No Harden and I doubt they would have done half of the stuff they did and maybe things go different. Your only shot to beat that much star power is fighting it with star power. Use the season to figure it out.

Untill we get Nunn and THT back I cant really judge it. As long as Bron and AD are healthy I still like them out west. The Russ situation will work itself out organically. He'll have his nights where he's really useful and there will be nights where he's simply forced to sit for long stretches for Bron Ball (if his decision making is bad)

Nunn/THT (and even Ariza for real) gotta add the necessary defense and shooting (again its on THT to have really improved in that area) to make things complete.

i can understand people criticizing picking THT over Caruso but after Caruso got man handled by Payne, I can see why they did

none of this would even matter if AD played with heart. when your supposed franchise player that u traded the entire farm for plays like this, the pieces surrounding aren't that important

After giving up on Lowry it was a wrap - he was basically gifted to the Lakers. Maybe they could have gotten Rubio or something? Pelinka overthought it and gave up core pieces of his title team. KCP got bullied but you could rely on him for solid defense. Caruso was on the upswing, had great chemistry with Bron, and was putting in the work to improve.
