Bron paces himself, especially in the regular season He can be decent in certain situations, (Don't expect him to defend an elite perimiter wing for any signifciant amount of time ) but he knows how to play smart team/help defense. Russ can't keep anybody in front of him and gets lost off the ball. He just doesn't play smart at all.

He's 37 and the focal point of the offense so his defensive energy comes and goes. It can look pretty bad at times, but he's still good when he's locked in.
