Things aren't looking good...However, I'm not giving up just yet. One multi-team trade and a healthy AD/Nunn could change the outlook on the season....It's not as if there are a bunch of great teams in the league...GS, BK, CHi, Utah, Philly etc have all had their fair share of blowout losses......The championship just like the MVP is wide open.
There are too many variables and unanswered questions to count the Lakers out:
* Trade deadline
* Players demanding trades
* Great players returning from injury (Klay, AD)
* Players getting hurt (KD, Levine)
* Covid
The only things I'm concerned about is LA making the necessary moves to improve their weaknesses and having a relatively healthy squad for the playoffs/play-in gm.......Portland/Sacramento are currently fighting for the 10th seed in the west and are on pace to win 33 wins......Even if LA goes 17-22 for the rest of the season, that still should be good enough to make the playoffs/play in gm (38-44)
I think LA should put Lebron on load management for the rest of the season...For example, I would have him sit the upcoming games vs Utah and Philly....Lebron will obviously be against it, but it's worth a try.

I think this added pressure cracks what’s left of AD and he becomes permanently broken. He couldn’t stand the heat when it was low, he might try to pop off on Russ and end up gettin his jaw rocked

Jeanie should’ve known better by now and hired a real staff instead of relying on the Rambi and the reanimated cadaver known as Weekend at Phillip Jackson’s. Low budget Rob Lowe being a whole worthless duck between ownership and Klutch that’s only good for a random story about nothing does no favors, and Bron/AD/Klutch very clearly signed off on this shyt. There’s no fukkin way Russ ends up on the Lakers without their approval. Bron being purported as one of, if not the, most intelligent superstar in history should’ve definitely known better. Especially since this is the twilight of his career he’s putting at risk.
shyt happens, they all took a bad gamble and lost. The best we can do now is wait to see if they actually attempt to turn around or get comfortable with Lakers basketball being a comedy show again….

Ty Lue was supposed to be just Bron’s puppet who couldn’t coach defense. And Vogels supposed to be this defensive mastermind. But we have the 19th ranked defense and the Clippers have the 5th.
