The Original Dom Kennedy
From The Westside With Love 1 & 2
Yellow Album of course
Future Street/Drug sounds

The rest is ehhh

I understand people saying Dom aint the greatest lyricist but :childplease: as if every great album that dropped in the 90's had stellar music. This takes me back to those classic gfunk albums you just ride out to that gave you game flow and a cool as vibe. Doms quote on on quote unlyrical release >>> some these so called great rappers lol

I co-sign this actually. I prefer game spitters to those Quadruple entendre nikkas anyway.

But Dom is just gettin outright lazy. He not even spittin game like that on this album. shyt reminded me of Taylor Allderdice the way it was carried by production and hooks. Next album nikka gonna be like

"You nikkas broke like puzzles.................................................................

.... Ya bytch called she wanna snuggle"

Yea, Dom's laziness is reminding me of the Curren$y of the past 6 months or so. Dom was never as nice as Spitta lyrically but like you said he was spitting game and his flow was alot more fluid then it is now. I'm playing the hell outta the tape but that's off the strength of the beats and mood that he created. I'm not sure how long it will hold up because there aren't the verses he's had in the past with songs like Me Again, Locals Only, It Was Beautiful, Still Me...

Does Dom choose to go the independent route? Because a guy like this should have been signed.

Pretty much no. It's funny nikkas at his tour in philly asked him if he was signing with MMG and he was like ":manny: nah man"

Dom been overlooked all his career. He probably got a shytty 360 deal or two thrown his way but for the most part I think he been chose over. Everytime he get asked in interviews about either signing to a label or not being on the freshman cover for the _____ time in a row he give the ":comeon::aicmon:" faces

I agree about Dom's lyrics. Look at his verse on We Ball

LA, that's me
You wanna meet somebody, ask me
You wanna see somebody, ask me
Ay, I tell her let's get in the back seat
Yo crew, last week
My nikkas, mad deep
My bytch, bad piece
Yo bytch, got bad feet
I pray to God, I never flop
I get a loft, a better spot
Another Rollie, a better watch
I get a plane, and then a yacht
And my haters, let 'em watch
Line 'em up, give 'em shots
Don't save 'em, just let 'em drop
They said I'd never make it to the top
But we ball, take shots
I won another, it don't stop
Ya big mouth, a big Glock
I love you all, fukk the cops

It's mindboggling to me that Stalley got a major label look before Dom when Stalley hasn't even learned how to flow yet. I figured Dom was next up after FTWL dropped but his career has stayed pretty much in neutral. Dude's music is already tailor made to appeal to a larger audience if he got put on imo.
