Edge got a great match out of him.
That's backwards. Edge post-Achilles injury was a fukking mediocre professional wrestler and Dolph was approaching the peak of his powers at that point.

Dolph Ziggler is one of those examples of wrestlers that neckbeards think deserve to be a main eventer when they're really not built for that.
Wade Barrett being another example.

I don't know if I'd point to that Low Ki match as an example, I think Dolph got legitimately concussed in that one.

Dolph Ziggler's someone who's great on paper. He has a great amateur background, he understands the importance of selling and he looks like enough of a dikkhead to be a good heel. He's also willing to do comedy to work on his timing as a performer. He does seem to have some kind of natural charisma that helps him stay over.
However his execution is basurington. Despite his amateur background his moveset sucks. He oversells to the point where he actually seems to mock the very concept of selling. He's almost no selling. His matches have no sense of psychology. His promos are awful and don't seem to have a point. It's as if he's so focused on being a performer that he forgot that he actually has a role to perform. WHY DOES HE KEEP TALKING ABOUT STEALING THE SHOW WHEN THE WHOLE POINT IS TO WIN YOURE AN ACTUAL AMATEUR WRESTLER JUST PRETEND TO BE A REAL ATHLETE IN AN ATHLETIC CONTEST OF SKILL AND BRAWN LIKE THE ONE YOU ACTUALLY fukkING WERE YOU VANILLA MIDGET BILLY GUNN.
And his standup prolly sucks.

The frustrating thing with Wade Barrett is that he'll get over and build momentum only to get injured. It's happened at least twice in his career now. And management actually took away the gimmick that got him the most over he's ever been in his career. I like Wavy Wade, but I've come to the conclusion that he'll never move up from where he is now even though he has the potential to.
He's built for the midcard.

Every show this fool Dolph Ziggler runs his mouth about how he's the best & how's going to steal the show. In the 10 years he's been in the 'E, he's never stolen the show. NOT ONCE. He occasionally puts on the above average match, but nothing spectacular.
Is he even a good worker? He's athletic, yeah. But he's not a good worker. There's a BIG difference. Can you even name a classic Dolph Ziggler match? In all honesty, I cannot even think of one.
I don't even think he's had a 4-star match, to be honest. He has no in-ring psychology. All this fool does is OVERSELL every fukking move and makes all of his matches look stupid.
In fact, dude is sloppy as fukk
What about his promo? He's a decent promo, right? Nope. This fool moonlights as a standup comedian, yet his comedy and snarky comments still suck. Who's laughing at this fools jokes? Whenever he makes a wise crack, the crowd is dead silent.
He openly calls himself HEEL Ziggler and insults his fans for wondering if he's re-signed his contract. He says he's a wrestling fan, but yet he's slapping WRESTLING in the face by openly using terms like "heel" and "marks." How can any wrestling fan respect this guy? On top of it, all this fool does is complain on the Internet.

He's in the right spot on the card, he's too goofy to be a main event guy. The guy is just inherently goofy. Goofy promos and moveset.
I don't think he's a complete bum, he's an over midcarder who is watchable, but he's still a goofball who's reached his ceiling that Rusev needs to crush.
