Ziggler never evolved as a performer which is why he never reached that next level.

This is so true, in 2012 and 2013, he was getting huge fan support, people loved him, and ever since, he's phoned it in with the exception of a few matches. He never evolved in the ring and he never evolved on the mic.

I still get goosebumps watching Ziggler cash in. Dude used to be one of my favorites, but like others have said - he never changed his character or brought something fresh to the table.

Instead he just kept stealing from the past (HBK most obviously)

Him and Punk were my favorite two wrestlers of the last 13-15 years, could you only imagine if they got behind him even just little bit, I'm talking just one brass ring

The Cash in is still a top 5 raw moment

you wouldn't phone it in if you were in his position? As a massive mark for him I can objectively say he phoned it in after 2014 with the authority stuff. I do think someone in the back told him to change his moveset to make it more flashy and it really made his matches not as good as pre 2014 ziggler

Dude still has no personality, is :russell: on the mic, and offers nothing in the ring if it isn't doing :deadmanny:, :deadrose:, or :dead:. Hell, he barely has a finisher.

But with all that said, this thread is 1000% correct. Those were great moments and they could (and should) have capitalized on the multiple opportunities they had to do something with him when he was crazy over.

Creative was never behind Ziggler like they should have. Dude has gotten red hot multiple times in his career, with the right push he always gets the crowd behind him, but for some reason Vince never committed to him and just shot him down way too quickly so it killed his momentum dead in its tracks. If you don't think that's the case, look how red hot dude was coming of Survivor Series '14 and winning the IC strap back from Luke Harper, only to have his run killed almost immediately so they could set up a 7 man (seven!) feud into WM.

Same thing happened with his feud against the Miz. They built up the whole career vs title fight great, had a very good match that had the whole crowd behind Ziggler, and then they job him out so fast that it kills his momentum again. You can't fight against shytty booking like that.

I agree with all of that but when it comes to "Evolving on the mic", it doesn't help when you have to read scripts from the worst writing team on mainstream television.

I remember how hard the IWC used to ride him. Signing all that proven talent from the indies killed that. They got mad when he got that title shot and when he went over AJ Styles recently, Dolph is done and if he goes to the indies I predict he'll collect paychecks while coasting. I don't see him killing it on the indies.

Only 1 of those moments were memorable because of him

Sting debuting was bigger than golf ziggler winning that match

Miz carried that feud, just like he's been carrying ambrose's bum ass

Ill grant you the world title cash in, however he immediately got injured and fukked it all up

Good riddance
