I'd say its a scam but only to those who lose money. Then again I dont even understand how it even works. :francis:

this sounds messed up I know: but I only view it as an investment to flip money in. I never got why people liked certain shoes but if I scored some I would quickly sale them at a mark up. I view these coins the same way. Just something for me to flip.

but I steady invest a bit every month into btc/eth/Ada not much but just about $100-$200

Funny people say this but major financial institutions and govts have literally been buying up Bitcoin by the boatload.. :sas2:if it's so worthless I guess they just buying all the crypto for nothing:troll:

I don’t give a fukk what the government does.

these the same motherfukkers that dropped nuclear bombs on civilians, slaughtered Native Americans, enslaved us and had us as second class citizens till the damn 60s :camby:

I used to own 25 bitcoins back in 2013 but I was using it as a currency medium like most people at the time. If I would of held I would be a millionaire right now but I'm not really tripping over it cuz I know people are just using it as a big ass ponzi scheme now.

That doesn’t make any sense. Crypto is volatile because the market cap is still low and the technology is still new. Tesla (one of the most valuble companies in the entire world) just made more money accepting Bitcoin as payment in a few weeks than they did selling cars since the companies inception. Let that sink in.

People don’t just invest in crypto because they expect it to rise in value, they buy it because they believe in the use case of the technology.

Why would someone be scared to purchase a slice of pizza because they’re scared the currency will double but the pizza store owner is scared it will lose half its value?? You just said people purchase crypto because they think it will increase in value. That excludes business owners?
Elon Musk was manipulating the market and is part of the problem that the guy in the OP was speaking of.

Anyways, the point of a currency is being a stable store of value, that's not what crypto is. It's a speculative asset and since being unregulated is a feature, not a bug, that won't change.

Crypto technology is a programming language and layered protocol just like the internet is. Right now you’re looking at a webpage that is really https/http on top of a layer of other protocols. That’s like saying what’s the use case of “the internet” in the 90’s. Now think about this, Amazon is the most valuable company in the history of mankind all from a single https webpage. The most valuable company ever that produced the richest man ever came from a technology that didn’t even really exist 30 years ago. Where we are right now in crypto technology’s development is where the internet was around 1995. People literally said the internet was a joke and nobody would use “a system of connected computers”
Your analogy disproves your point.

Ive been in the market since the mid- late 90s, so I was trading during that initial burst. The crypto craze, imo, is the modern equivalent of the dot com bubble- the period of pets.com, not Amazon. :usure:

I'll leave it to all you early investors to fund the r+d that will someday, in the future, create 'the new Amazon'.
