Lol is this dude for real? You guess this is a good song? This shyt is a classic.

And paparazzi chase after people with money and fame (celebrities) and all they care about is getting pictures of celebs (and getting paid to do so) no matter what they have to do to get their snapshot. They don't care about anything of any significance - it's not like celebs are important people and taking their picture contributes nothing to society. Likewise rappers are only out for the money and fame, no matter what they have to do to get to that spot, and sell themselves and their values out in the process. They have no concern about the substance behind what they do, and don't hold their work to any kind of higher standard.

It's not a flawless comparison, but it's not some random shyt that makes no sense, damn son.
Yep, rap nikkas chasing the lights and cameras. Doing anything to be "famous"

Good song, I guess, but what the fukk is he going on about? :wtf:

p.s deeper than atlantis :heh:

1st off, this is an absolutely classic song. And normally I lock threads like this when they make sense, but I the song makes perfect sense. :manny:

It's right there in the hook. He's saying that rappers are primarily concerned with having enough money and fame to the point where they'd have to deal with Paparazzi.

Basically, he was criticizing cats that were getting in the game just for clout, money, fame, etc. Hence Paparazzi.

There's a lot of rhymes and concepts in hip-hop history that don't make a ton of sense, but this one makes sense to me. :yeshrug:

I bet you can't find one paparazzi picture of Xzibit.
:mindblown:
You can't find a paparazzi picture of me with them either, but that doesn't mean I don't know who they are or what they're about. :dwillhuh: Xzibit was talking to the rappers that were overly concerned with that shyt, which obviously implied that he didn't care about that type of lifestyle for himself.
