Man if Owen had lived in 2000 we would've got matches with him vs Angle, Jericho, Benoit, Guerrero and Malenko :mjcry:
That's a completely fine sentiment, but this man's work with his brother alone...

I can't be the only person who thought of Bret and Owen like Ryu and Ken...two guys who were similar, gave blood and sweat to prove they were different and better, could simply bring out the best and worst in each other.

Owen was a "nugget," but got punished before he could have undoubtedly flipped that, and the burial inadvertently turned unto a real one.

i mean WWE records almost everything they do, even if it's just hardcam footage, so it exists somewhere.

but it has never been released to my knowledge. it happened just a few days before his death.

  • Angle comes out to Del Wilkes' (The Patriot) old theme.
Here I was thinking Kurt Angle's gimmick and theme song was original for the past 20 years and I simply Google whoever the fukk The Patriot is and he's doing everything (though shytter) the same as Kurt did a few years later.:dead:

The WWE aint shyt for that reworking gimmick nonsense.:heh:

yeah saw this when I searched for it on google: (sounds like angle needed some more work)

Dark Match: Owen Hart pinned Kurt Angle after a spinning heel kick.

  • Poor Owen. He's gone from Intercontinental Champion and a major player on WWF's pay-per-views to doing dark matches for Monday night shows. I just hope he doesn't try a piledriver.

  • Angle comes out to Del Wilkes' (The Patriot) old theme.

  • As misused as Hart has been, he still gets heat, even though it's in the form of ten thousand plus fans yelling "Nugget!"

  • This would be your cookie-cutter Nitro or Thunder match. Kurt controls at the start and hits a Northern Lights suplex at one point for two.

  • Hart grabs Angle on a leapfrog attempt and powerbombs him.

  • Angle comes back with a powerslam but Hart hits an enziguri shortly after.

  • Hart goes up top and gets crotched, allowing Angle to hit a superplex for two.

  • Hart comes off the ropes into Angle, who hesitates for about two seconds before applying a side belly-to-belly suplex.

  • Hart finishes Angle off with a spinning heel kick.

  • Angle looked alright, but he needs some polish before going on Heat or RAW.

The fact that he even (allegedly) looked "alright" less than a year into the business is kind of amazing in and of itself. Mind you, this was also 6 months before he would wrestle his first televised WWF match, and he was good basically immediately.

That's an insane rate of development.
