Difference is Manchin forces his hand to get concessions that become law. Progressives cry and obsess over concessions that wouldn’t become law even if 90% of democrats voted for it.
They said they could and would do it over $15 minimum wage which they keep acting like is possible very soon and fronted. So either their act of it being possible is bullshyt or they aren't willing to fight for it via a threat to their party leaders. You can pick.

Manchin didn't want a $15 raise. Democrats couldn't add it to the covid relief bill since it had nothing to do with budgets, so the next option would have been a separate vote. Again, I have no idea why progressives are obsessed with purity tests they know will fail to achieve anything. It's reminiscent of how the Tea Party operated. It failed for them and it'll fail for progressives.

There weren't 60 votes for the $15 minimum wage. Now, there seems to be some bipartisan support for raising it to $11-12. We'll see what happens but once again I suspect we'll see another example of one group of people making possible change, working within the system...and another group whose entire focus is on performative actions that benefit no one sitting on their hands bytching.

Progressives don't understand power or leverage, and it kills them every time.

AOC included I guess since she said that's something that she was strongly considering to use her leverage for. Neither do corporate Dems since they tried to do it in the budget and couldn't cause really wanted to take the advice of the
Senate parliamentarian Elizabeth MacDonough. Just a bunch of feckless officials who don't know what they are doing or saying on our side I guess. lol

The way Jimmy is acting right now is just sad and stupid
He is going nuclear, but in a bad way not a good way.
He's absolutely right on his critiques against TyT, but the feud with Kyle is just unecessary and stupid.

#ForceTheVote exposed alot of politicians, their shills and "concerned citizens and activist"

So how could such a question be asked? because sadly this last election cycle proves that sustaining then sensationalizing problems is more profitable/beneficial than solving them, regardless of party
