the bagdad theatre is in portland oregon, the gentrification vibes from that video are off the charts....it costs a lot of money to live in a place like portland oregon. something tells me this girl hasnt had to struggle very much.

i know that you cant really block people from making art, but people like this going into rap really puts a bad taste in my mouth. im a musician but im not black and ive never made hiphop music because i feel like since its not my culture i dont really have a right to do it. does that make sense? for the same reason i dont make reggae or dancehall. i LOVE those genres and i actively listen to them and support them, but i'd feel out of place making them.

there are some native rappers out there embarrassing themselves though
