There is actual local politicans that would be the real definition of the word leader but not on a national scale is there one.

Most of America look for celebs for leadership. Shyt they made one the president of the United States of America.

It's said a people get the leaders they deserve.

We haven't listened to the leaders who weren't telling us what we wanted to hear. The Do For Self road was the correct road to take, but was also the hardest and most dangerous, so we ignored the leaders who begged us to go that route.

We had leaders like Dr. Claude Anderson try to explain the political reality in this country, but we ignored him too.

The reality is you nikkas don't want leaders. You just want to someone to tell you what you wanna hear.

Our leaders start at the local level, I do believe that. Really, it starts at home, then it extends into your community. There should be a network of at least somewhat connected groups/leaders in everyone's community, but I don't think people domestically realize how big the United States is. We have essentially the same geographic area as the entire continent of Europe. I don't know if it's possible to have just one leader of a nation this big...

I agree with you breh, but back in the day all the elders/leaders would meet and hold talks in the church.

Young brehs today ain’t really in the church like that Even the religious ones(like myself) don’t really have a church and definitely don’t have one we’d call home. So much of their activism back in the day was heavy into Christianity/God and that’s probably not gonna work nowadays.

Folks on tik tok/X kinda right. We need the new voices to find a way that’s actually appealing to the young people in the world they currently live in, not the one we envision them living in

I would just expand thus by saying entertainers in general. The way people talked about Chadwick Boseman, the way people used to talk about Will Smith, I think makes it clear that we hold up entertainers period as leaders...

What I would question the board on, is do we NEED a national leader? It was dope having Obama as a face but many of us didn't view him as "our" leader, and we've created an existence over here without having black politicians in the highest profile role...

Same way we question why we exalt athletes and entertainers, why does it have to be someone political? History is rife with examples of people in political spheres that weren't exactly role models...

Theoretically, we would need multiple National leaders, each representing an area of expertise. (Ex. Political, Financial, Education, Agriculture, Medicine, STEM, Military, Logistics, Media, etc)

One leader would be targeted and if he couldnt be controllee by the dominant society he would be erased like our leaders in the past. Whats needed is a code that all agree on to follow so that it cant be killed with one person. One dude drop let a woman pop up.
