i dont think that would count as a comedic performance. at least not fromt he perspective of the academy. we're laughing cause this is the coli and we're black (most of us) but i was turning around in the theater to see who was laughing extra hard just to make sure.
i heard someone repeat a joke that had the word nikka in it during the movie and had to strain my neck to make sure they were black
i don't know if they would consider sam for an oscar for this performance, but they should just give him some kind of lifetime achievement oscar....

Jamie Foxx wasn't bad but I was wowed by his performance...and Sam did more than c00n. The crooning was his front and the real Stephen was the dude who was providing council to Calvin over drinks in the library. And he was an evil motherfukker on top of all the other stuff too.
Was I the only one who thinks Jamie had the best performance?

This. Samuel's role was entertaining but his acting was good not great. Leo and Christopher Waltz (the Dentist) had better performances acting wise than Samuel, imo.
People in here actually think Jamie Foxx had a great performance? nikka just made faces the entire movie and when he did speak it sounded like Jamie Foxx more so than a character.
