the translation should be "we are creators" rather than "we are Gods" (during the time of David they worshipped Baal for some period)

thats why there is a difference between The LORD God (explicit name) and God (Elohim/creator) when reading translations

That "die like men" is the major key though.

If we're going off of the concept of the bible.. What if Adam and Eve never took heed to Satan in the garden?

It's because of Bathsheba (Daughter of Seven) or rather what I believe is actually the formal name of Genesis 2

It does say "These are the generations of the heaven and earth in the day that the LORD God made them"

IMO there is a strange link between Genesis 1 and 2 and the stories of David/Bathsheba and Deborah/Barak/Sisera

Do a "what if" with Adam and Eve and the conversation with satan.. "What if" they didn't obey satan.. What would've been different?

depends on if you believe Nahash is Satan or just the word for "Serpent"

According to the Talmud, Jael engaged in sexual intercourse with Sisera seven times, but because she was attempting to exhaust him in order to kill him, her sin was for Heaven's sake and therefore praiseworthy.[16]

Also according to the Midrash,[17] Sisera had previously conquered every country against which he had fought. His voice was so strong that, when he called loudly, the most solid wall would shake and the wildest animal would fall dead. Deborah was the only one who could withstand his voice and not be stirred from her place. Sisera caught enough fish in his beard when bathing in the Kishon to provision his whole army, and thirty-one kings followed Sisera merely for the opportunity of drinking, or otherwise using, the waters of Israel.[13]

I believe satan is a seducing spirit that knocked mankind off of purpose.. As far as im concerned, death didn't come into the picture until mankind disobeyed one spirit and took heed to another..

"who TOLD YOU you were naked"?

This simple passage went over the entire world head. God created mankind naked. Gave mankind instructions while they were naked. Even told them to have sex and multiply and replenish the earth naked..

who told you you were naked? People hung up over the apple and a snake and not paying attention to the conversation. Conversation that takes you off purpose into some bullshyt.

from my perspective, the serpent is the tongue

such that we are aware of the words we speak at the point of birth from our mouths but our awareness of what our own words influence on their way through reality (and likely back to us) is poorly understood

but if you take Genesis 1 as context, it would mean spoken words from God alone created AND defined reality as we know it. So it's probably best we craft our words with the context that it can/could create

but then again one of the more interesting statements in the Bible is about Nahash. "Now the serpent was more subtle than any beast of the field the LORD God had made"

how subtle is subtle :jbhmm: once again the tongue is arguably the most subtle beast in existence :manny:
