"How good the economy is right now"? See, this is why the Democrats lost badly. They keep pushing this 'everything is fine according to our numbers' bs, but in reality, when you and I go to the store and have to spend money, we don't get as much as we used to get because everything is more expensive. It's insulting. These dudes just refuse to learn their lesson.

Well, the reverse is happening now with these egg prices. We're already seeing an upswell of dissatisfaction with this administration. I mean, trump cant run again, so why would he care? But for the party going forward?

From the replies it’s so crazy that so many people have left or are in the process of leaving.

Everyone basically telling this person to get a STEM degree in order to move out to anywhere is the easiest way.

I think people are missing the point that the American they grew up with is gone, and has been gone for a while. The comments saying that there are problems in every country are true, but depending on your personal background things may look scarier in the US right now for you than for them.

I suggest you do your best to get a good education, look into what professions are needed in other countries you might be interested in living in and put your focus there, get your passport ASAP, and visit any country you are considering moving to before making a commitment to leave permanently. I have a sibling who moved away from the US to raise her family and she's indicated that they are never moving back home.

In the meantime, you will be eligible to vote soon. Use that privilege, encourage your friends to vote, and get active and informed about local politics because a lot of this current disaster started with grassroots efforts in local school boards and city council meetings.

I'm a full-grown man with a wife and kids. If it wasn't for them, I wouldn't want to be here anymore either. My house is paid off, yet I don't really own it 100%. I'm very restricted to what I can do with my house and my property. Same with my cars. I haven't had a raise in 6 years, yet the prices of everything have skyrocketed. We have clowns for government officials. KKK marches just the other day. A poor old man with dementia was repeatedly punched and kicked by police because he was confused and couldn't answer them "right". I could go on and on, but the reality is that this is not getting better anytime soon. If you pay attention to things happening around you and around the nation in general, it is actually getting much worse. If it wasn't for the ties my wife and kids have here, I would be gone to never look back.

I think people (myself included) have realized this country has peaked in our lifetime and many future generations will not see what we had at one point. A lot of folks will have moved out.

This is like the stage in a party where all the cool and desirable people leave. Maybe they’ll be back one day or maybe they’re onto the next scene.
