I'm hard on Rock but I'm a big fan of his Doom movie. There's like 8 of us.

The problem with Rock, is he's too invested in a legacy, he's a business man that also acts. Ryan Reynolds suffers from the same problem. Both got decades in the industry, dozens and dozens of movies but maybe only a handful are actually interesting. The interesting ones usually have the same thing in common too, they play against their casting type, a villain or very serious drama or a straight up fictional version of who they really are. Basically the kinda roles you can't build a career on if you're more interested in selling tickets and being a brand.

Keanu just wants to work with his friends and maybe other legends. The man directed Man of Tai Chi just put his stuntman friend on (dope movie too btw, overlooked...he played the villain in it too)
