Even have one aggressive song in his catalog...?

I recently skimmed through Jay Z's catalog and realized the following...

For the most part, his best songs are the singles (my opinion)...

And he doesn't have any "angry/aggressive" songs....Dude's music has no pain, no joy, no depression, no anger...

"Reasonable Doubt" is a bit introspective...However, after that, the majority of Jay-Z's catalog is just fictional coke dealer references and laughing at less fortunate people...

Jay-Z pretty much a tame rapper, I wouldn't classify him as a hardcore rapper...

What do you think?

It's not really criticism...It's just an observation...

I mean, Nas is a slow dude, he almost sounds retarded at times, but he has "hate me now"...

It just something that I noticed, Jay doesn't really make "hardcore" hip hop...

There arent even controversial ideas in his music, it's all safe...

He has some introspection here and there, but the majority of his catalog is hollow...

One reason I made this thread is also because I hear Jay-Z fans (but not only Jay-Z fans e.g. Gucci Mane) say things like "he can rap about blah blah if he really wanted to"....

But I think to myself, no, he can't...Once in while he gets the spirit and lets it out, but for the most part his lyrics can be summarized with "I have more money than you, so I am better than you."

And some the replies from his fans, in this thread, echoed this sentiment...
