This might be the most unChristmas season I've ever felt.
Maybe bc I'm working so much and never see the sunlight until the weekends, or maybe bc I'm now older as an adult.
But when I was a kid, there were so many toys and video games to ask for. I'd have a loooong Christmas list of games, toys etc. I didn't get all of it, but just the joy of walking into a toy store, or a Target electronics section and seeing endless options seems lost.
Nowadays, kids can ask for.. ..an updated phone, and what, a PS5? How many games are even on ps5? Sega and Playstation seemingly had endless games to make a Christmas list of.
No need for traditional toys bc a phone does almost everything....which I def understand & appreciate. But compared to what I experienced growing up(and i wasn't rich growing up), it's like a totally different holiday now.
Maybe it's the pandemic gloom, mental gloom from the negative news, maybe a combination of everything I've mentioned above . But It's Christmas eve and I'm just like
. Holiday movies don't feel like there's any soul behind them. Where's the Home Alone, or Jingle All the Way, Bad Santa, etc?
The vibe/spirit is lacking all the way around.
Anyway, Y'all brehs & brehettes have a great day and Merry Christmas!
