The best of Angel (season 5 in particular) is the very best Buffy as an IP has to offer, even a bit better than the famous parent show it spun-off from. The WORST of Angel (a majority of the episodes involving that dweeb Connor
) is borderline unwatchable corny trash. I'm assuming you'd only ask this if you're already familiar with and are interested in Buffy. In which case yes, even if it has some embarrassing lows, the highs and the development of the cast/universe overall are 100% worth checking out. If you actually haven't watched Buffy first you really should get on that before Angel tho

Finally doing a Buffy rewatch, not starting from the beginning though, S2 finale to Faith and The Mayor's first appearance.
Episodes are on Hulu.
They say Anya is coming this season can't wait for that, Angel and Cordelia bout to leave for that spinoff.
SETH Green(Oz) leaving too, will be in some Entourage episodes. No signs of Tara yet.
Remember the Graduation episode was delayed cause of the Columbine shooting, had to see it at the end of summer.
1998 in context was a bad year for me. College was over over and I had no prospects. BUFFY And Jayz were the only good news that year. 6 months away from my first security job.
