Nah they made albums recreating/homaging 60's soul and rnb, you should check 'em out. They did a great job, especially Saadiq on "The Way I See It".

Raphael Saadiq "Stone Rollin'" and "The Way I See It".
R. Kelly "Happy People", "Love Letter" and "Write Me Back".
I misread your post

Leon Bridges joint was amazing too

Bruno was not like this when he first came out. Compare his music when he first came out to now. Culture vulture. The only reason people give him a pass is because he gives credit to black music and is surrounded by black people.

I defended him for a while but its starting to get apparent.
If he's doing this then I don't see the problem :yeshrug:

I'm just glad someone is making the music. Meanwhile in our community our kids think it's lame to learn how to play a fukking instrument. Where are our bands? Where is our funk?

Which may be why nobody has said "Play that new Prince" since 1992.

That takes discipline. Kids these days don't want to learn an instrument cause they want fast results with pro tools and their cheaply made trap beats.

ain't no more black artist. get over it
all that dikk rider of wack rappers and hustlers of lyricist allowed for black music to be bottle necked into one box

There is no more black music, black music is basically strip club music now, there is no black music industry,
just a bunch of ignorant nikkaz with no talent hitting licks, because getting bag is all that matters

when drake career was ended after being exposed as a fraud, that told you right there it was a wrap

I can't even a name a young nikka who can sing for real

chris brown aint young no more, and he a rapper now, he not an R&B nikka

bruno mars killing it, he embarrassing nikkaz doing black music better than any black artist right now, and thats just the harsh reality

this is what happens when you don't stick to the roots and carry on tradition, and sell out

lil uzi vert the new leader of black music lmao

its a wrap

:wow:

We reduced ourselves to X rated entertainment, and the X rated industry is diminishing thanks to the internet.

you a moron

I produce, I post some shyt I did, you post something you did, and we will see who knows more

VOCALLLY, CHRIS BROWN IS WAY BETTER THAN R. KELLY

THAT DOES NOT MEAN HE CAN MAKE BETTER MUSIC YOU DUMB ASS

Chris Brown has more range, and a stronger voice than R. Kelly can dream of, he is a talented vocalist, who makes terrible music

In another time, he would be a huge star, maybe even Michael Jackson big

R. Kelly is an okay singer, he was never anything special as a vocalist, you bugging

Now I see why you have the HALL OF SHAME label. :what:

This is the most asinine thing I've ever seen anyone typed on here. :dahell:
Hold up... Chris brown may actually be a better vocal talent than r. kelly. kinda depends on what u like.... Chris has a lighter voice, so he seems to have more range..
That's like saying chris brown is a better singer than anthony Hamilton or something... Anthony has a more grittier voice. R. kellys voice isnt Hamilton's voice but its in the middle between the 2... more on the soulfoul side...
Either way, R.kelly is a 10x better artist than chris brown... the shyt aint even close.
Successful Longevity is like the biggest thing you can judge an artist on. And R.kelly is the king of that.
In fact, ima say he could probly be the originator of this fukkery trap r&b that we have now... Sounding more like rapping than actual singing

Idk breh. I remember having a similar convo about Adele some months back and how her success will always be shady as fukk.

Black contemporary r&b artists don’t really have a lane anymore. Their services really aren’t needed since the Adele’s, Sam Smith’s, etc are taking over the genre. Most people don’t even know Keyshia Cole dropped a good reviewed album in October and that shyt flopped up the ass. But it ain’t the lack of quality because the reviews were good. She’s just a Black contemporary r&b artist who doesn’t have a lane.

It’s all a part of the agenda to eradicate Black artists completely.

This is a major concern. People downplaying this message for the sake of instant gratification, don't give a damn about the well being of black music.
