I just thought of this...the only two guys to build a superstar thru killing a ton of jobbers was Strowman and Ryback. Both worked perfectly.

It's the most old school shyt ever....and it works. If they had done this with Corbin or Cass maybe they'd be over

But frfr, it won't work for everybody. LeBraun's an anomoly because he's legit larger than life and made strides during that entire time crushing jobbers. Ryback's push was similar, but dude never noticeably improved after, in the ring or on the mic

Braun owes a large part of being over to Roman. He was an audience avatar for those who hate Roman and gave them a cathartic release when routinely whooping his ass. It also helps that he's one of the few who gets booked to do cool stuff.

He got some pops for some of the jobber stuff, but the crowd wasn't rocking with him like that when he was fighting jobbers and Sami Zayn. Roman also bumps his ass off for the dude. Folks were actually briefly getting mad at Braun for giving props to Roman in that interview a little while back.

Braun strowman does something eye popping every week and has been carrying raw since KO and Y2J splitted way.

I can't recall having that same excitement when Sycho Sid is present.

Pretty much what everyone else has said... you still have to be an engaging character and be able to deliver once you get built- that's why it worked for Braun. But everybody's not gonna work like Braun's push did. If they gave this similar thing to Corbin or Cass, I can't say it would've worked for them, especially Corbin. He's one of those dudes they've spent a year and change trying to make happen and it's just not. Braun was someone they took their time with and once he got the ball to run with, he's run all the way with it.
