I, for one, welcome our new space overlords.
Biggy was more of a pragmatist than an idealist(Tupac).

He did conscious songs in his own way. Sky Is The Limit, Juicy, etc. You can tell emotions and reflection are flowing on those songs.

He addresses social issues in his own way. With Biggie's stories, the main character is always Biggie sometimes with different iterations of it.

That's why it would have been interesting to see his evolution into the 2000s.

I was talking to my cousin and he argued that Biggie has no overtly conscious songs like Pac did. I said Suicidal Thoughts in it's coverage of suicidal ideation can be conscious in a way. I don't know, what do y'all think?
Not a conscious song, and most of the material I think was negative..but to his credit he was a good storyteller who could talk about different aspects of the streets or money or whatever. Wasn’t just kill a nikka rob a nikka shyt every song. And he was funny and witty

The answer is NO. Biggie has no conscious records. Dudes in here reaching just posting random songs and some even had the nerve to say "Sky's The Limit" :snoop:

Lets look at the final verse of Sky's The Limit:

After realizin' (uh-huh), to master enterprisin' (uh-huh)
I ain't have to be in school by ten, I then (woo)
Began to encounter, with my counter-parts
On how to burn the block apart, break it down into sections (oh, yeah)
Drugs by the selections
Some use pipes (oh, yeah), others use injections (oh, yeah)
Syringe sold seperately (uh-huh), Frank the deputy (uh-huh)
Quick to grab my Smith & Wesson, like my dikk was missin' (alright, alright)
To protect my position, my corner, my layer

Where the hell is the "conscious" in any of that? :stopitslime:

But I stay seeing bodies with the motherf-in chalk around it
And I'm down with the sh-t, too
For the stupid motherfukkers want to try to use Kung-Fu
Instead of a Mac 10, he tried scrappin'
Slugs in his back and that's what the f-k happens

That song is more introspective then conscious.
