ive been looking into this recently but the way people explain it just kinda pisses me off and takes me out of it...everyone just keeps saying "be present...be aware..." yeah ok.

Yeah that’s dumb. I seen a video where a monk said simply to focus on breathing in and out thru the tip of your nose. When I started doing that I was able to meditate longer and get into a zone quicker. Now 20 min feel like 8-10 minutes

I meditate and do various types of energy work.

Of course it works but I think a lot of people when they first hear about it have all kinds of ideas about what meditation is or isn't that never really allow them to really GET IT.

I used to and it does work but man is it hard to sit still for them 10-20 minutes especially if your place isn't quiet

Like this.

People are under the impression that you need to sit still for x amount of time, in a certain posture ect.

What I try to point up to people is the aspects of life that already might be meditative to them. For example, cutting grass. Before I even started meditating, I enjoyed cutting grass as a stress reliever. Even when I was tired and didn't want to cut my big ass yard, once I'd get out there and start cutting the lines back and forth, hearing the sound of the motor ect...I was too engaged in the present to concentrate on anything bothersome. Anything you can fully engage in..whether it be cutting grass, washing dishes, sports stuff can be a meditation.

During my most rough times, I usually meditate and say a prayer. It works because it gets me motivated to just keep it moving. One of the best examples of this was last week, where I would go outside and look at the sunset while I listen to my favorite tunes.

Let me tell you brehs something, it is the most rejuvenating experiences that allow me to go on another day during this struggle I am currently facing.

It beats any drug and alcohol, because its the closest thing to a out of body experience...

Yup. It's to the point where i do it while consciously doing almost everything and it usually feels like my body is on autopilot. No exhaustion, tiredness, or fatigue. When I'm frustrated though, which is also the best time you want to try to clear your mind, i can't do it. I think a lot even during meditation, but when I'm fixated on some bullshyt it takes a potentially unreasonable amount of time for me to move past that. Takes a lot for me to get that aggravated tho.

I recommend meditation for everyone. It'll help you get to know yourself, others, and nature way more than you do currently. Visualization can become manifestation but only if you can recognize with all of your senses. I'd like everybody to try to be greater than what they are, whatever that means to them.
