I read that HBO is picking this up and remaking it or something. This won't be NEARLY as good on HBO... Some of these scenes aren't happening.

True Detective had some of the best cinematography in television history. Especially during that 6 minute tracking shot in the third or fourth episode. You don't see films shot like that, let alone TV.

Yeah I'm not feeling that at all man. David Fincher is behind the remake but
at remaking a show a year after it came out, and when it's still running. Season 2 is dropping later this year.Fred.

unrelated but im a sucker for tracking shots, and that tracking scene in episode 4 (i think)True Detective had some great visuals in my opinion.

House of cards is the bomb, i watched 5 episodes just yesterday, I'm really into it
I didn't find the cinematography in Utopia to be anything stellar or outstanding. Their choice of color grading - overly saturated - is what gives it it's look.
