As someone who's been working remote for the last 4 years and could afford to live pretty much anywhere, I've thought about it but my experience has been, nikkas get treated even worse outside of the US. Now some of it is common sense like that brehette getting ran out of Belarus but a lot of it isn't because you only see things as a tourist first so unless you already got connections, you may not even know better.
My childhood friend got roots in Jamaica and was trying to get me to buy/build a mansion on the island but his family out there was like "Nah, unless you already live here AND got the money and juice to deal with the politics at multiple levels then you'll just get taken for, with nothing to show for it"
I want it to be different...I remember Ghana trying to encourage AAs to come over but didn't hear much after that. Ideally, I'd love to setup shop somewhere in my 50s and teach my fellow brehs a thing or two about this tech shyt so I'm not giving up but it ain't as straightforward as just "can you afford the cost of living?"
