Does Anyone agree DBZ Budokai >>>>>> Tenkaichi?

I'm talking about the ones that played like a classic fighting game ie MK and Street Fighter but had game mechanics that made it unique and especially DBZ. I think there were 3, and the last one came out after the first Tenkaichi if memory serves me correct.

Even as a kid I thought Tenkaichi was nerdy as fukk. Flying around an open arena in a fighting game, having to chase nikkas down in the air when you supposed to be fighting and sht. I know my opinion is in the minority or else they would've kept making the originals instead of this Tenkaichi bullshyt, but man I would pay a large sum of money to get a modernized version of this kinda shyt

No joke this and Rival Schools are the only fighting games I've ever enjoyed anywhere near as much as the GOAT mortal kombat

Loved this series. It allowed me to finish up to the Cell saga when they decided to reboot to episode 1 while on Namek.

:unimpressed:

Budokai 3 was a game changer back then. Unfortunately Burst Limit killed any chance we get a 5th entry.
Was not aware burst limit was a part of the Budokai series. They fukked up, I would've bought it if they called it Budokai 4: Burst Limit or something. Was it good? I'm guessing not if you saying that's why we never got a 5 :francis:

Burst limit was cool but it didn't even go up to the buu saga. Honestly I prefer Budokai 3/Infinite World (Budokai 3 expansion)

It was a bare bones game that only went up to the Cell saga

A step back from Budokai 3 and IW in terms of combat. It was a spiritual successor but that was then end of that chapter. Xenoverse came out a little while later and I didn't touch a Z game until Fighterz.

Never heard of Infinite World :ohhh:didn't know they had an expansion, might have to check it out on emulation

Split screen fighting games :mjlol::mjlol:
Yea they added quite a few new character and new mechanics some for the better (Capsule system changed for instance if your character has transformations instead of using all the slots for Goku's transformations in Budokai 3 its just one capsule that gives you access to all of them, got rid of hyper mode added aura dash, etc) and some for the worst (lost beam struggles, stun system changed, no dragon universe)

JOHTO REGION
Budokai 3 = Great fighting game, good dbz game

Tenkaichi 3 = Good fighting game, GOAT dbz game

It really depends on what you're looking for. But if you're a super fan of the series like me tenkaichi will scratch that itch more because fights are like the show and the sheer number of characters with strength gaps similar to the show.
