Does anybody think that NBA analysts and personalities go overboard with players age?

why/how do they insist that Boston is too old and decrepit and must be broken up because "father time" has caught up with them? really? these aren't 40+ year old men out here running up and down the court b, i think they're 36, 35 and 34, smh. jordan was still by far the best player on earth when he retired at a month away from 36, and he really didn't even need to retire then. kg still got like 3 GREAT years left, easy. miami, with bosh healthy, is just a better team, period

because you can tell if a player has lost a step by using your OWN 2 EYES?

Lack of lateral movement, lift, quickness it all catches up to you.

And KG is an old 35, he came straight outta H.S. He has more mileage than Jordan at 35. (Jordan played 3 years in College and 2 years off, Jordan in "NBA" years was actually 30 when he won his 6th ring)

Players usually decline after turning 30. That's why they say it. Noticeably slower etc.

lol @ Jordan being by far the best player in 98. That's revisionist history. He wasn't by far the best.

Negativity (Kayfabe)
MJ - 35 - 13 seasons (took a season off)

KG - 35 - 17 seasons

There is a big difference, plus, the league is passin' them by

The young bucks are gettin faster & stronger

They've been saying this about san antonio for 4 years now.

They're capable but as soon as they dont win they fall right into the narrative.

People are stupid so theyll just run with it :manny:

lol spurs been "old" and get "old" as soon as they get smacked or start losing. Their roster isnt even that old, they just play old. shyt, people even think tony parker is old, for 3 years now, he just turned 30 this year. BUt like I said, its just the narrative, manu parker and duncan can be long gone and folk will still call em old. It is what it is, general population is just too stupid and used to young aggressive content. [insert 50 cent smiley here: :manny:

That stupid argument again. I saw that shyt in SOHH before.
So if MJ took 5 years off, he'd be 27 in "basketball years" in 1998? :laff:
