Like tf do you expect, to listen to someone who just recorded from their basement?! Yea, she’s signed to a label. She pays them (by way of a 360 type deal) to promote her. It behooves them, to place her. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. I personally know a dude signed to label. He’s broke and works a govt job. He a plant too?!
Quick look at the Madden soundtrack there’s songs from as big as Bad bunny but as random as ‘Andrew WK’ who has 1500 followers. There’s a song by AG Club they have 60k followers.
We’ve lost the plot on what a ‘plant’ really means. It’s overnight success, appearing as a grassroots artist but secretly having major, heavy handed backing. That does not apply here
