I agree if they were offering to tak Tex's contract I would of shipped him out so fast really don't even care that they would probably have to play Swish at first and have Ibanez/Jones platoon in left. I'm already counting down the days until his contract expires.

I don't care how you feel about his contract. Trading our best run producer this season is beyond stupid.

Playoffs aren't even a guarantee for the Yankees this season. Had they done this, we'd be trying to start over just like Boston is.

who could the dodgers possibly afford to give up at this point

:heh: at the yanks even considering shopping CC. And a lot of you guys are wildin for complaining about the contract, as if money is an object to the Yankees. Is Tex worth the money, probably not, but who is in baseball. Its like some cats think hes Giambi 2.0 or something :snoop:

Giambi hit for most of his contract (outside of two injury plagued years), only thing Tex has over him is much better defense. Teixiera's contract is looking atrocious right now.

Money is becoming an issue, as the new CBA has caused the Yankees to cutback for the 2014 season.

Tex is Giambi 2.0 besides he can field and throw and has way less Clutch H/HR's. :russ: At the thought of Tex hitting .280 next year
