This would essentially be Dodge giving up on the car market. Most americans are not in the position to go electric simply because they dont have anywhere to charge.

just my hypothesis, also it's an aging platform too (actually old as shyt) so instead of developing a new one for gas they are turning to electric as the former would be a waste of money.
