I've been buzzing about this all afternoon. Was on a thread discussing who and someone posted the link and I just dismissed it as a spoof article until i realised it was real. Excellent news, I bet the 60th special is going to be brilliant. RTD's writing has been better than ever recently with shows like the outstanding 'It's A Sin' so I reckon this will be even better than his first run.
I've hated the majority of Moffat & Chibnall's characters and characterisations so it's a treat to know that RTD is back as he excels at writing people properly.
Big speculation on if the new Doctor will be someone he's worked with before too. He had done 'The Second Coming' with Eccleston previous to Who and 'Casanova' with Tennant. Most of the guesses being aimed at the cast of 'It's A Sin'.
