Thats exactly what it is. Marvel's a racist ass company and Hollywood is a racist ass industry so of course a character like t'challa ain't gonna get even a fraction of the Batman treatment despite being the equivalent character model.

They feel more comfortable promoting ant cac than making a movie with a black man who would have a black love interest (i.e. 1 too many black people on screen) and who wouldn't be a magical Negro for Red Dawn and the Human Torch.

And "supporting" marvel ain't gon change shyt, that'll just make em think doctor cac and ant cac were good moves to make insteada bp (and I bet they'll throw in some token chuck and jiving negroes in for good measure and attribute it as THE proven way to get blacks to show up).

Large numbers of us sending letters, emails and other communicate outlets expressing our want for a bp movie may be the only way to get their mind right... And even then, them cacs gon cac at the end of the day :smh:

I just don't understand the hate (unless they are bad movie)......I just figure if Marvel establish cosmic, magic... eventually they will want to establish a culture that of Wakanda (a place far advance than America)

The only way that will happen is for all these movies to be hits....trust if GoG flops...Antman flops.....and Doctor Who flops....we never seeing Black Panther

You don't need cosmic or magic to establish wakanda any more than you need it to establish ant man.

Look, if you're a fan of doc strange or ant man, then go watch they stuff and have a ball, nothing wrong with that, but let's not front like its gonna encourage them to make a black superhero movie. What it'll do is encourage them to make more stand alone doc strange and ant man movies ala iron man 2.

But this whole... "just keep putting money in our pockets for these other cac fests and we may eventually get to your guy... in 2018 or so.. :troll:.." when our guy should've been on deck before fukkin ant man... coupled with marvel and Hollywood's historically racist bullshyt... and nah. Wolf tickets.

You gotta let them know specifically what you want and would come out to see. And at that point if they continue to bs you, then it is what it is.

I didn't mean that people needed cosmic or magic for Wakanda......I'm just saying that comic book fans should appreciate the fact that Marvel studios is willing to bring ideals from the comics to the big screen...

But I'm sorry but its just hard for me to believe that if Antman, Doc Strange, and GoG flop....that Marvel is going to get funding from Disney that is not Avengers......

But I could be wrong....I'm a Marvel fanboy

Once again there's no need for a Captain America, Iron Man and Thor sequel. Phase two should have been GotG, Ant-man, Dr. Strange and Black Panther and then they should have figured out ways to integrate various Avengers into those movies.

Django should let Marvel feel more confident about making a Black Panther movie

I doubt that Cap and Thor will get 3 movies, even though Thor's probably would be the ish. They definitely don't need 3 a piece.

Dr. Strange has an excellent origin tale. he's an a$$hole surgeon who's hands are Morgan Freeman'd in an accident and goes to the ends of the Earth to try an fix them. Depending on how rock bottom they want to take him, it can be an excellent story.

A lot of Marvel characters don't need solo films. Ant-Man is definitely one, Wasp, Ms. Captain Marvel. As for Black Panther, I think they should bring him in during an Avengers movie; same for Vision and Namor. It would be hard for them to give T'Challa a true story without sounding like Batman/Iron Man.

Every time I see doc strange I think robert downey jr, I wonder who would play him? As far as black panther, it would be the biggest budget black movie ever imo except red tails, and if done right, could be up there with the best comic movies of all time. Unfortunately I dont have faith in hollywood to do this since will smith cant be t'challa.

:wtf:

T'Challa is African Royalty of a technologically advanced Kingdom that is its own military power. His origins are the FURTHEST thing from Batman and Ironman. The only characteristics he shares with Tony Stark is his intelligence, so what, Tony Stark is the ONLY character in Marvel that can be intelligent? His overall attitude isn't comparable to Batman, Batman is anti-social, tortured, and is basically a Hero as a ways to compensate his complex over his parents murder. T'Challa is a Hero by birthright, Noble in demeanor, and the only "anti-social" trait he exhibits is striving to maintain the independence of Wakanda.

Nah fukk that. There is NO reason why a Black Panther film wouldn't work on any level. I knew once they knocked Thor out of the park and it was so successful and well regarded that Black Panther could be done. They just WON'T do it. But they'll do GOG, Ant-Man, and fukking DR. STRANGE!!??!???:what:

I'm not talking about his character traits, just unlimited technological resources (Tony Stark) and superior know-how and drive (Batman). How do you give it its own voice without being a rehash? You can turn it into him protecting his people against outside invaders and it turns into a terrorism vs patriotic movie; who becomes his villain? I think that would be the biggest problem with getting it off the ground, a villain worthy of it. Maybe Killmonger, but I think he works better as one who plays off of others. You could be right though, but Superman is The One and he hasn't been able to have a decent movie since 1980.

As for Ant-Man movie, that ish is gonna be trash. Guardians of the Galaxy, will be trash as well but you can do extra things with a space movie.

Only people who never read the character says things like 'he's the black Batman'
