Borderlands 2 players won't have to wait long for the next DLC pack for the co-op shooter. Captain Scarlett And Her Pirate's Booty will be available on October 16th.
Scarlett takes place in a new desert region of Pandora. This desert is home to Captain Scarlett and a host of other pirates. The central settlement is a dangerous shanty town called Oasis.
"You can sense the pirate theme across the landscape, even though there's no water," said Gearbox Software president Randy Pitchford (via AP). "It's all dried up. It feels more like Tatooine than an ocean. These bandits have really embraced the pirate lifestyle, and there's the legend of a treasure. That kicks off this whole adventure that the players can go on."
In this new adventure, players will search for said treasure. They'll also fight sand worms and ride sand skiffs, among other things. This new campaign doesn't require you to have finished the main game.
Scarlett is one of four campaign DLC packs in the works. Each will cost $9.99 to download. Alternately, buying the $29.99 Season Pass will give you access to all four.
This DLC pack's existence was revealed yesterday by a Trophy update.

Playing public games on PC is fukking retarded. I had some dude keep opening menus and switching missions when I was trying to fast travel.
