Do you watch TV with subtitles?

I can't stand people who watch TV like that. I read faster than they speak so it kills it for me. I be reading the punch lines and shyt before the joke. Or the dramatic shyt they about to say. And I can't avoid looking at the words. Sometimes I just get stuck there reading and not even watching

Uhhh.....No. I don't think anybody that uses subtitles because of personal preferences (instead of becasue they're deaf or because it's a foreign language movie/TV show) reads the subtitles word-for-word. I use it more as guideline for dialogue onscreen.

Only when im watching foreign movies.
Or if im watching movies on mute at work.
I never need to really, i can follow all manner of dialogue just fine, worse case scenario i'll pause and run the scene back if i feel like i missed something.

but i noticed when i be watching foreign flix and im high, the words be coming at me like how them shyts looked in that movie Limitless!

I use them for most just cause I got kids. I turn them off for comedies for the exact reason you said though, it ruins the punchline.

When I was watching an episode of Walking Dead a day, I ran into a patch during season 2 where every ep was subtitled. When the subtitles stopped, I couldnt watch it. I dunno. It just didn't seen the same. ..... only watched subtitled eps from then on.
