I can run an episode back immediately after watching it but never an entire series.

I'm not a binge watcher to begin with, so running a series back feels like a big task.

I can sit through a movie I've seen before to get to my favorite part but I can't do it for 20-30 episodes.

Went undecided. I have both comfort shows and movies that I can watch religiously at any given time. The Sopranos is one of those shows, but I can also run through Goodfellas. Got some movies that I have to stop what I’m doing and give my undivided attention. Just depends on what I’m in the mood for that day.

personal preference obviously…I’m more likely to watch TV shows/series (sitcoms in particular) than movies…there are a handful of movies tho that I’ll rewatch especially if I randomly catch them on TV

Absolutely, yes. I've rewatched Oz, Sopranos and the Wire over 3x. And more recently have began a rewatch of Godfather of Harlem.

TV shows can get more detailed with the characters and plots than movies, which can easily be missed on first watch.

Movies are dramatically easier to replay as they're tremendously shorter and are honed in on the highlights. Plus, they're bigger spectacle in general, so the actual, visual viewing experience is just bigger and better. Series are more cerebral and even better for deep dives tho, which they essentially are deep dives within themselves.

Even the greatest TV shows, I've never rewatched in its entirety, front to back. And it's a huge undertaking of time to do so. Almost all of my favorite movies, I've watched from logo to end credits at least a few times.

Movies.
I've seen Five Heartbeats, The Matrix, Menace to Society, Friday, Babyboy, Shawshank Redemption all several times each.

There are tv shows I've seen a lot: Martin, Cosby Show, The Wire, The Office...but I don't think I've seen a single episode too many times and those are mostly sitcoms. The only drama I've watched several times is The Wire.

TV shows. You forget a lot more with TV shows, given there is a lot more content, so that means you get more out of rewatching than you do with a 90-150 minutes movie. Plus stuff gets fleshed out in much more detail.

I think its shifted. I used to watch movies multiple times. Now the only time I watch movies a second time is when I'm with someone else who hasn't seen it. I find TV shows to be a little less predictable than Movies these days.
