Both men & women
No more than 3 times, three strikes your out
But seriously like if you had 3 marriages and they've ended up in divorce.....maybe marriage isnt the best option for you.

For example If I drive a car, get into an accident, buy a new car, get into another accident, buy a third car, and get into a third accident, maybe I should have a chaffuer or call a cab because apparently driving is not for me/

Honestly, men should go through a checkup and take a psychological test before getting married a first time.

Marriage is a old relic, plus the passion dies after 1.5 years so i've heard :smugfavre:

Yea but you shouldn't be getting married for passion. It should be I dunno some kind of something that's a bit more long-term. I don't know why people get married but it definitely shouldn't be because of something as fleeting as passion.

I disagree. Unless you have kids, you should ride passion out until it dies. Love always dies, thats reality, only kids and idealist fight that?

So what's your stance on this? There was no paperwork on my marriage. We voiced vows on a beach, and in CO, if you 'hold yourselves out as married' it's common law.

I actually agree with a lot of the things you have to say about the union in general. I'm glad I can be here to help support your cause of marriage failure. However, was mine truly a marriage? The law said it was. In another state it wasn't. Common law is different depending on where you live.

I did consider myself married. Just wanted to hear what someone with such strong beliefs would have to say on technicalities such as this.

I don't understand what you're saying.

Ride the passion out until it dies, but it always dies, so get married then be in an unhappy marriage for the rest of your life?

Or did I misunderstand?

No, when you are miserable or the passion is gone, that is when you leave. That person has served their purpose in your life and I'm sure you have grown from it as well. Can't hold onto the past or you will harbor resentment in a marriage.

Now if you have kids, that is different cause 2 people need to be there to raise a stable adult, or it increases those odds at least.

So you weren't married? Just common law :wow:

No ring?

And you were OK with that?
