HBK also had multiple surgeries in 98 which is why he was always coming and going. If it was just 1 surgery he probably wouldve been back sooner

I always heard he supposed to come back in 2000/2001, but Vince and Co. was upset with his drug problems. Taker and all that, heard he was supposed to come back soon. Bunch of dudes believed that he was milking is his injury, some dudes didn't believe him. During his time off he got 14,000 a week.
